Possessing your possession Part 1

The Lord came to Joshua  and said " Moses my servant is dead, now arise and go over the Jordan and possess  the land that I have given to you. Joshua 1:2

Today we have a promised land that God has already given to us and desires for us to possess.

All the promises of God In Christ are Yes and Amen!
2 Cor 1:20

Jesus has already defeated our enemies and has already given us abundant life and rest, but in order for us to fully possess this land flowing with milk and honey,we must first realize that Moses the servant of the Lord is dead!

Moses, who was a type and shadow of the Law that was used to bring us to Christ, but the Law had no power to justify us or to give us life. Galatians 3:24

Moses brought them to the border of the promised land, but Moses (The Law) could never lead them into the promised land.

The only way for us to really possess all that God wants us to possess is to  first recognize that we are now dead to Moses or dead to the Law and now married and Alive to Christ. Romans 7:4

Moses brought them to the border of the promised land, but it was Joshua who led them in.

Its interesting to know that Joshua's name in Hebrew literally means "Jehovah is Salvation!" or the Lord is my Salvation!

Joshua was a type and shadow of Christ and Christ is the only one who is able to lead us into  abundant life. It is Christ alone, its  not Christ plus the Law. but Christ plus nothing else!

The Lord in my light and my salvation Psalm 27:1

Its is not Christ plus the Law or Christ plus what I do, it is Christ  alone! I am not a co-saviour with Jesus, He alone is able to save to the utmost, all who come to Him.
